Sadly I had to work today while the Phoenix Suns vs San Antonio Spurs game was going on. I get home and turn on ESPN and start to watch some of the highlights, What a game that must have been to watch live! Duncan makes a three to push it into double OT. This is going to be a championship round worthy series, and it’s just getting started. The Hornets vs Mavericks game is up next. I’ll check in later.
What a way to set off the 2008 NBA Playoffs, I don’t know about you but im hella excited. The Suns Spurs game was an instant classic. I am quickly turning into a Chris Paul fan, I haven’t really followed his play during the season. I watched the game though, He rarely makes mistakes. The only way this year’s playoffs could be better, Is if the Blazers were in it :P. Oh well, Can’t wait for tomorrows set of games. Peace.
Philadelphia 76ers beat the Pistons at home to take the first win of the series. Now thats surprising, I was super busy sunday and couldn’t get around to watching any of the games or posting. I caught sportscenter later that night though. I did not think 76ers would be a challenge for the Pistons, At halftime it looked that way with Detroit up 51-38 at halftime. They fought back though and got the win, What an upset it would be if the 76ers sent Detroit packing in the first round! I cant wait, The rest of the games on sunday went as I thought they would. Boston spanked atlanta, The magic beat toronto and in a high-scoring game at the staples center, The lakers took the first game against the Nuggets.
On to monday’s game, Cleveland vs Wizards. I finally got to sit down and watch an entire game, It wasn’t bad, As long as your a Cleveland fan =). The Wizards could not get anything going, Horrible shooting all around. The highpoint of the game for me was when Haywood got ejected, He fouled the hell outta james. James had an incredible night, I just wanna take a second to show his stats. 30 Points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists, and 2 blocks. I’m just gonna round up and say he got a triple double haha. The Utah Jazz and Houstan Rocket game just got over. Game was close the entire time, T mac had 1 rebound short of a triple double as well. With the jazz up two games, Its looking bad for Houston but i’m picking the Rockets to win the series. Another day, Another set of great games.
Finally the Suns get a win! I dunno what I would have done if the my Suns would have gotten sweeped. Raja Bell was lights out this game, 27 points and 5-7 from 3 point land. Amare Stoudemire was non-existent this game but apparently they didn’t need him. He’s gonna have to step up big time next game if they wanna keep the small chance they have alive.
